BabyEarth – RENEW is a hassle-free baby gear recycling program. If you’re no longer using your car seat, stroller or high chair, you can send it in and they will make sure everything is properly disassembled and all usable parts are sent to accredited recycling centers. For example, fabrics will be shipped to developing countries, and metal, plastic and foam will be used for construction projects. In the spirit of renewing, if the item is in excellent condition it will be donated to and enjoyed by another family who needs it.

Caritas of Austin helps Travis County individuals and families facing homelessness or a housing crisis to access housing or attain housing stability. Caritas has a range of services to offer from emergency rent and utilities assistance to long term housing provision. They provide lunches to anyone, no questions asked, and some groceries to their clients. They also provide educational programs and assist with locating employment.

Since 2005 they have provided 1102 disadvantaged Austin-area kids and their families with a computer. These kids cannot grow and compete with their peers unless they have a computer and The HeliOS Project focuses on giving these kids the tools they need.
