Christ’s Body Ministries feeds, clothes, and shares the gospel 365 days a year with Denver’s poor, hungry, and hurting. In addition, they provide a safe warm day-shelter to all during the week with hot meals, bathrooms, showers, laundry, and phone service. They furnish over 5,000 bags of groceries each year to those who would have otherwise gone without. They supply well over 40,000 meals each year to homeless families and poor people in the inner-city. They provide coats, clothing, socks, gloves, blankets, sleeping bags, toiletries, personal items, transportation, emergency assistance, and referrals to other agencies.

Cradles to Crayons provides children ages 0 to 12 with some of the most important basics of life—free of charge. In other words, they provide all the physical goods that children need to be safe, protected from the elements and ready to learn. The Grace and Peace Women’s Shelter has offered temporary, overnight shelter during the colder months to homeless women of St. Louis since 1986. The Winter Shelter operates in the basement of Grace and Peace’s building in an urban area on the west side of the city. The Winter Shelter receives minimal government funding, relying instead on volunteer helpers and meal providers as well as on donations to cover staff stipends and other expenses.

The Wichita Children’s Home offers emergency, temporary residential shelter for children. The Home is open 24/7 and serves children from birth to 22 years of age. Last year over 2,500 children came through their front doors, many with only the clothes they were wearing. The Home works to meet the needs of each child to ensure their safety and well being.
