The Miriam Foundation improves the quality of life for children with learning disabilities and their families through innovative and comprehensive programs.  The Miriam Switching Post accepts donations of gently used furniture and household items for re-sale (they are not a consignment shop). Proceeds from sales support the programs of the Miriam Foundation, The Miriam School and the Miriam Learning Center.

St Louis Teachers Recycle Center gathers creative materials (see below) from local business and industry that are landfill-bound and makes them available to teachers, parents and youth groups.

The Arc of New Mexico improves the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages by advocating for equal opportunities and choices in where and how they learn, live, work, play and socialize. Items donated to The Arc of New Mexico are sold to Thrift Town, a local for-profit thrift store. Thrift Town purchases its merchandise for its Albuquerque location exclusively from The Arc of New Mexico. This partnership provides annual unrestricted funds to The Arc of New Mexico and supports their efforts on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
