They visit new chemotherapy patients at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, on the first day of treatment and deliver a sunshine box to them. All volunteers who deliver the boxes have had experience with cancer, either as a survivor or caregiver.

Send just the fronts of any used cards you have to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children at Recycled Card Program, 100 St Jude’s St, Boulder City, NV 89005.  They take all types of greeting cards except for Hallmark, Disney or American Greetings.

The Recycled Card Program is for the children at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children to learn entrepreneurship skills. The children participate in making the new cards by removing the front and attaching a new back. The result is a beautiful new card made by the children and volunteers. The benefits are two-fold: customers receive green holiday cards for use and the children receive payment for their work and learn the benefits and importance of going green.
